Trevor accompanied me on

two business trips to Italy in 2001, on each of the trips, we stayed extra days to enjoy the countryside. The first meeting was in Assisi, the next one in Siena. Before the meeting in Siena we were in Glasgow during which time the 9/11 disaster occurred back in the US. In Italy, the people were so concerned about us and opened their arms in sympathy during the rest of the trip. Needless to say we viewed the beautiful countryside a little more somberly during this  second trip. It seems  strange that I am putting these photos up 10 years later, in the week the US finally got Osama bin Laden. While I don’t believe in an “eye for an eye”, I join the millions who are pleased bin Laden will not be around to spread hate.
